• Question: Why do you like playing with liquid nitrogen?

      It’s a lot of fun to freeze things instantaneously and then smash them. I’ve found that the most fun thing to dip in liquid nitrogen is a flower–they get incredibly brittle and will break into hundreds of pieces with the slightest tap. Of course, none of this has to do with my real science work. This is just something I do for fun when we have students visiting.
