• Question: Why do bees die when they sting someone?

      Because when she “honey bee” stings someone, it cannot pull the barbed stinger back out. So, it leaves behind the stinger and some part of its digestive tract, muscles and nerves, that’s why she dies afterwards. This is particularly good thing, so that the honey bee doesn’t transmit diseases if she can sting several times as the mosquito does!
