I was really torn between the sciences and the arts at A-level. So I took Geography and Geology (Sciences) and French and English Literature (Arts) so I could have gone either way! I didn’t really know what I wanted to be when I grew up so I decided that I would take the subjects that interested me most. I think science is great and if you enjoy studying and learning about science then you should continue it further but if there is something you enjoy doing more then you should do that!! Just be mindful that if you are thinking of going into a science subject at University (this is a long way off!!) sometimes they require one or two science A-levels. So when you get to that point if there is a slight chance you want to do science it would be good to take at least one science subject! Hope this helps.

When I was a kid, my family took a trip to Disney World, and at Epcot Center, there was a ride called Listen to the Land. It was a boat trip through a futuristic greenhouse, where they grew lemons the size of basketballs, had plants growing in hydroponic trays with no dirt, and had more than 20,000 tomatoes on a single plant. There was just something awesome about combining life and technology to help solve the world’s problems. I knew from that moment onward that I wanted to do something with biology.
