      Nitrogen does not burn under normal conditions. When you put liquid nitrogen into the air at normal temperature it begins to turn into gas, which may look a bit like smoke. What you are seeing is evaporation though, like what happens when you boil water, only nitrogen boils at a much much lower temperature than water.
